This is the Frankincense Vital Oil or VO that is produced by the special proprietary process. The oil has the more desired heavier (Vital) components that cannot be accessed by traditional steam distillation so you will notice that the oil is a bit thicker and richer than a standard frankincense essential oil.

The cancer fighting ability of frankincense is mainly focused on the Boswellic acids found in the resin and these heavy components are not found in the essential oil. The oil from this special process is beyond an essential oil, known as a Vital Oil or the VO. We like this term because the process pulls out more of the heavier "vital" components that traditional steam distillation cannot access. These heavier components not only make the oil more therapeutic but they also impart an extra layer of depth and complexity that is just not their in the traditional EO. VO smells way better than the EO.
